Reinvent the Time Slot
Hitmaker Radio is a fully produced, 13-week listener-driven music competition that turns a scheduled evening block into an appointment-listening event. Each series follows a complete arc—from the opening round and weekly audience voting through the final winner presentation—giving stations a defined programming event with a beginning, a destination, and a reason for listeners to return every week.
The audience drives the show through the station's own digital platforms. Listeners submit song ideas, lyrics, personal stories, and creative concepts; hear selected material developed into finished music; vote on the weekly competition; and return throughout the week to follow the results. Submissions and voting remain inside the station's website, app, or approved digital environment, keeping the traffic, audience activity, streaming opportunities, advertiser exposure, and listener relationship with the station.
Trigger Media Group produces and delivers the complete broadcast-ready program. The package includes the hosted show, original music content, listener segments, station-specific imaging, co-branded jingles, transitions, promotional material, commercial integration, mixing, mastering, and final weekly assembly. Participating stations select the placement, host the listener interaction, supply their sold commercial content, and retain control of the advertising inventory created within the program.
Hitmaker does not require network-wide carriage. A broadcast company may handpick the individual stations, formats, and markets where the program makes the most sense—whether that means a focused regional group, several strategically selected markets, or a larger multi-market flight. Participating stations carry the same core weekly competition within a coordinated evening broadcast window while receiving the branding, promotional content, and commercial version required for their individual market.
The format is designed to move. One 13-week flight might connect Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco; the next could be rebuilt for Los Angeles, San Diego, and Phoenix. Every new flight introduces Hitmaker to audiences that have not previously experienced it and is produced with new participating stations, listener submissions, voting results, music, branding, promotions, and commercial content. The production framework remains proven and consistent while each competition remains fresh and new to its incoming audience.
At the end of week 13, the competition reaches its scheduled finale rather than being stretched beyond its natural life. The completed flight then provides real performance data that can guide what happens next. Hitmaker may move into another group of markets, return for a future season after an appropriate programming break, or lead into an entirely new Trigger Media audience concept. The individual competition concludes; the opportunity to continue building successful programming together does not.

Hitmaker FM Radio is a fully produced, licensed radio program delivered to participating stations as a finished broadcast-ready show. Trigger Media Group produces the program and its supporting content, then prepares the licensed station version for delivery with the appropriate station advertising or program sponsorship included.
A station may license Hitmaker FM Radio for the stations, market, broadcast channels and digital platforms authorized by its agreement. Market or cluster exclusivity may be included, preventing the show from being licensed to a direct competing broadcaster within the defined market while that exclusive agreement remains active.
Exact licensing terms, market availability and station-specific pricing are provided through a private broadcast-partner invitation.
The Hitmaker FM Radio Show is engineered to drive audience engagement well beyond the traditional broadcast window. Through integrated audience voting mechanics, listener-driven charts, and shareable music hooks, the show generates consistent, measurable traffic across the station's digital platforms throughout the week — not just during airtime. This sustained engagement translates directly into elevated web traffic metrics, stronger social media performance, and increased streaming numbers that stations can document and present to advertisers as verified audience activity.
The show's TikTok and streaming component creates a parallel revenue lane that operates independently of traditional spot inventory. Music hooks, artist moments, and audience interaction clips sourced through the Hitmaker format are designed for short-form video shareability, extending the station's content footprint across platforms where younger, high-value demographics are actively engaged. As that content circulates and drives users back to the station's owned digital properties, it builds the audience session volume and time-spent metrics that directly support higher digital billing rates.
For participating stations, this means the Hitmaker FM Radio Show functions as both a content property and a digital audience development tool. The vote-driven format keeps listeners returning to the station's app, website, and stream multiple times between broadcasts, compounding weekly engagement numbers in a way that strengthens the station's overall rate card position for online and streaming inventory. Nontraditional revenue generated through this model — including digital display, pre-roll, streaming adjacency, and sponsored voting integrations — represents a monetizable layer that belongs to the station and grows in proportion to audience participation.
Hitmaker FM Radio turns participation into something listeners and featured artists can actually take home.
